About me

I'm a forestry scientist with a strong background in ecology, carbon and nitrogen cycles, and statistical modelling. My work focuses on developing models, understanding carbon and ecosystem dynamics, and supporting land-based climate mitigation—using rigorous science to quantify emissions and promote more sustainable ways of managing land.
Originally from Spain, I've lived and worked across Europe and the Americas, collaborating with researchers, institutions and communities in diverse ecosystems and contexts. These experiences have shaped my scientific outlook, strengthened my commitment to clarity, honesty and impact—and opened my mind. I consider myself a highly adaptable individual.
My motivation is not only to provide robust technical solutions, but also to understand how nature works and to recognise the beauty within it. I believe science must serve the real world—and that protecting what we understand begins with truly valuing it.
I now live in rural Spain, close to the landscapes that inspire my work and way of life. When I'm not working with carbon, I spend my time climbing, mountaineering, walking in the forest, enjoying music, reading, and embracing a slower, more intentional way of living.
